Optima Risk Management

We review all health and safety related documents, such as policies, processes and procedures. Our goal is to ensure that all contents reflect senior management's commitments, current and up to date business management arrangements. We also make sure that they are aligned with all of the legal requirements and compliance standards.
We assess the protocols and management of accidents, incidents and near misses, taking all data into account and identifying trends to prevent recurrence. We ensure a mechanism is in place for translating data analysis into a risk management tool, in order to support all business operations.

We will conduct a thorough review of the risk management processes and methodologies, by performing detailed checks on existing risk assessments and risk registers for their suitability and effectiveness.

We carry out both independent and joint health and safety site inspections, provide recommendations and corrective actions based on the findings. Most of which can be linked to the risk assessments in order to mitigate the risk of an accident occurring or preventing one from taking place.
To finalise, we will develop a Business Continuity Management Plan in preparation for critical period of business and where required. given the current Covid-19 Pandemic, together with the client develop a Business Crisis Management Plan. A side from the business continuity plan that provides solutions to known and foreseeable major risk, the Business Crisis Management Plan will analyse business failures. We engage with key stakeholders over a variety of scenarios, identifying how the business will react to such conditions and suggest a series of responses to support the business continuity and the crisis management plan (where applicable), until the situation has de-escalated or been downgraded.

Optima Property Compliance

At Optima Safety & Health Ltd we undertake a full evaluation of property compliance with the associated approved documents of Building Regulations and British Standards. Our assessments include and not restricted to; 
  • Asbestos Management.
  • Fire Safety Management.
  • Legionella Prevention in Water Systems.
We carry out a full review of the current Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and service contracts in order to establish a legal position for maintaining the business structural assets as well as the mechanical equipment, in line with the various legal requirements. 

In addition, we perform equally detailed structural building surveys and carry out a full review of third parties’ contractual agreements for the delivery of these maintenance programmes. This is not only to establish the competency level required for delivering specialised maintenance, it also to evaluate the contractor's performance in the way they deliver their services, providing value for money and return on investments. We make sure that all work is carried out in alignment with the agreed specifications and key performance indicators. 

Optima Food Safety

We undertake comprehensive reviews of all food safety arrangements within catering and hospitality such as hotels, restaurants and cafes. This includes a full HACCP review of all cold and hot servings, as well as a traceability exercise to determine the sources of all incoming supplies.
As a result, we will develop processes and flowcharts that support the required methodology for cooking and serving food products. 

We offer a Food Safety Handbook that supports the specific types of food handling, preparation, storing and serving on the premises, in line with the HACCP (Hazard Analysis for Critical Control Points) and food standard specifications.

At Optima Safety & Health Ltd we believe that by means of suitable workshops and training, health and safety can be tailor made and effectively delivered. At Optima Safety & Health Ltd, we believe that auditing and inspection checks are one of the most effective ways to evaluate business performance, and to determine a legal position in meeting statutory compliance.
